Since April 2014 Yogesh is a Group Chief Technology Officer at VEON and is a member of the Group Executive Committee. In this role he has been driving a number of high-impact initiatives co-steering VEON through profound transformation from a classic telco into a technology company. That includes creating a state-of-the-art groupwide Cyber security Operating center (G-SOC), which has helped eliminate weak links in VEON’s cyber defenses. Yogesh has also spearheaded IT and BSS transformation on a grand scale, which has so far yielded launches in 2 VEON OpCo’s showing excellent results.  In addition, Yogesh Malik has been driving massive networks modernization across our footprint, investments in big data and analytics, as well as back office automation.

Before joining VEON, Yogesh served as CEO at Telenor India. His other career milestones include appointments as CTO of Telenor in Bangladesh, CTO of Kyivstar in Ukraine and Head of Technology & Sourcing at Telenor Group headquarters in Norway.

Yogesh is a graduate of Executive MBA at IMD, Lausanne Switzerland, and holds an Engineering Degree in Electronics from MSU University, Baroda in India.
