Worked (2004-2007) as a lawyer for the St. Petersburg offices of Ernst & Yound (EY Law) and Chadbourne & Parke.

In 2007-2008, held office as Assistant Vice-Rector (Foreign Activity) and Law Support and Supervision Director at the Administrative Unit of the Office of the Vice- Rector (Foreign Activity), St. Petersburg State University.

In 2008-2009, a lecturer with the Civil Procedure Department of the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University. Together with the teaching career, held office as Foreign Operations Law Support Director for Ilim Group, a major Russian pulp and paper company.

In 2010-2011 headed the Division for the Regulation and Supervision of the Execution of Judicial Acts, Department of Legal Assistance and Interaction with the Judicial System, Ministry of Justice («MoJ») of Russia.

In 2011-2012 acted as MoJ Deputy Director for International Law and Cooperation, serving as MoJ Acting Director for International Law and Cooperation

In 2012 — 2015 held office as Director of MoJ Economic Legislation Department.

In 2015 — 2017 — Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation (responsible for the economic and constitutional legislation, development of federal system and local governance).

Since May 2017 — Representative of the Russian Federation in the European Court of Human Rights — Deputy Minister of Justice.

Since 2010 — associate professor, professor at the Department of the Judiciary, National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Recipient of a number of departmental awards from Russia’s MoJ and Federal Bailiff Service («FBS»).

Chairman (2016-2018) and Member (from 2018) of Federal Council on Commercial Arbitration Reform.

A member of the FBS Research Advisory Council, working groups of MoJ and Russian Supreme Court on improvement and application of legislation in the sphere of court execution.

Holds the rank of Active State Counselor (Justice) 1st Class.
